Letter of intent

My interest in control engineering dates back to my final year in the university. It required applying al the knowledge of chemical engineering, plus understanding the chemistry of reactions and i found that interesting as it was challenging. All the activities of control engineering require extensive knowledge of mathematical theory. At the very heart of control engineering lies mathematical modeling and in order to construct models that fully define the process, and develop reliable control systems, advanced knowledge of mathematical modeling is required.

That is why the *** program is a lifetime opportunity for me. With a course structure that provides me with a strong mathematics background and still gives me the opportunity to specialize in the modeling of complex systems, i could not have asked for a more rewarding way of spending the next two years of my life.

Also, for me, the program goes beyond gaining a first-class mathematical knowledge. I get the chance to interact, exchange ideas and learn from bright minds from various parts of the world, learn the language of the german and italian people and generally see the world from a different perspective. I become a better mathematician, a brilliant engineer and a well rounded human being. The program is amazing!

My interest in mathematics goes beyond the areas required to function as a chemical engineer. While awaiting the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, i have been studying the riccati differential equation with tremendous success and i look forward to applying my results in developing more efficient control systems.

I have been thinking of how best to express my meed to be in the graduate program without coming off as desperate, but the truth is, i yearn for the knowledge this course offers and if its aim is to train students who are readily open to new knowledge, prepared for any challenge and constantly trying to devise new and...
