Strategic Management: A Global Approach
Strategic Management integrates the strategic planning with other management systems in a process in order to promote the global business efficiency. Strategic management is a global process that looks for efficiency by integrating direction systems and at the same time set responsible staff such as managers for development and strategic implementation. It is also a continuous decision making process that models the organization performance by considering opportunities and threats that are faced in the same media, besides forces and weakness of the organization. A very good strategic management tends to strategically standardize good practices which are fundamental aspects for performance.
Some critical factors to consider in strategic management are: planning, following up and evaluation, marketing, public relations, financial management, funds collection, operation management, services contracting, purchase, human resources and so forth.
In addition, strategic leadership is an important aspect for successful strategic management. Real leaders can produce real changes and it can be originated from the top management to lower levels. In order to change organizational realities, leaders are needed; they can really transmit enthusiasm, personal and collective vision, objectives, share and transmit new tends, policies, mission and so forth from their positions in the company.
