Decision Making Exercise 2

Macro Property is kind a new and young real estate agent company that established in 2012, in order to expand the size and develop into a huge and successful real estate agent cooperation, the marketing department of the company has to quickly set up a property marketing plan for Macro Property and finish the record in two days. As the top manager of the marketing department, I need to choose a good decision making tool to help me pick the best plan from the rest.

Since marketing department plays a very essential role of the company, it is a huge group that has 55 people in. Although I am the leader of this group, every single team member in it has equal right to voice his or her opinions, after knowing all their opinions, I need to make the final decision and pick the best option for my company. Therefore, we have a very large number of ideas or opinions from all the staffs in my group. The key issue Macro Property is facing now is that they don’t have any direction for its development. In other words, we need to help our company to target a specific segment in the whole market. After discussion, every one in my group has given their personal suggestions or plan. Some of them recommend target the market on domestic students for renting apartment, some declare to focus more on international students. However, some others prefer to target the non-students as the primary market of the company because they think the best way to get the high profits is by house sales. What is more, many people think that Macro Property should not only focus on domestic market, but also need to find more opportunities for expansion in international market and they also give many detail options.
