1. Hacking people’s phones that had been involved or were involved in particular events which were making news at the time.

An investigation that had begun in 2005 and is still continuing today.

Many criminal convictions were laid down.

2. Celebrities, politicians, members of the British Royal Family, members surrounding murders, relatives of deceased British soldiers, victims of the 7/7 London Bombings and many more.

3. The first sentence of regret (“we are sorry for the serious wrongdoing that occurred”) would have been the most difficult to write as it is the exact moment where Rupert Murdoch’s company shows complete responsibility for the actions that took place publically. This confession of guilt and apology would have been extremely hard to write as it is a complete confession that his organization has been doing unethical and immoral which he knows will affect the success of his business. It would have been tough for him to decide that telling the truth and apologizing to the people was the only way to keep his company a success.

4. It is important to be fast to sort out unethical behavior as if an unethical act were to be committed in an organization it should be sorted out immediately. If the wrongdoing continues it will gradually get worse which may be catastrophic for the company. A company has a duty of care to its customers and not sorting out an unethical act within an organization is going against the duty of care a company has for it’s customers
