Explanation:

1) The horizontal axis represents the comprehensive level of the university/school and it consists of four main parts: The freshmen’s college entrance examination scores, the quality of the university graduates, the academic level of the university and the educational quality of the university.

2) The vertical axis represents the Geographical level of the university/school and it is decided by the economic level of the city where the university is located and the number of high-quality/salary jobs that can be provided to the graduates.

3) We assume that Shanghai can provide more opportunities for the undergraduates majoring in economics, finance and business than Beijing since Shanghai is the commercial and financial center of China. Thus, we put the universities located in Shanghai at a higher position on the horizontal axis.
