Dear Mr.:

As previously discussed I have put together some objectives and a summary of activities that will allow me to successfully manage the opening of our new Batter Up Batting Cages.

Mission:

Batter Up Batting Cages will provide an indoor temperature controlled facility that operates year round in San Antonio, Texas. The cage will be staffed by both softball, & baseball professional batting coaches for basic & advance training for recreational and die hard baseball& softball players. The goal is to provide & develop batting techniques for anyone interested in enhancing their game.

Objective:

* Purchase an indoor facility that will hold six batting cages

* Pitching machines, baseball, & softballs will be available for use

* Batting instructors for both softball & baseball will be available during business hours

* Batter Up Batting Cages will be open for business in October 2013

Keys to Success:

Utilizing a strong matrix approach I will utilize resources from within our different departments to achieve our goals. The team will use a project plan along with kaizen newspapers to ensure all actions are completed within the time allotted.

I have put together a list of employees that come highly recommended from within their departments that I will need assigned to me in order to complete this project. Each employee listed is very knowledgeable within their areas and have a great record of working together with others which will be instrumental in order to ensure all deadlines are met. The goal is to be up and running by October 2013.

Sincerely,

Project Manager
