1) ABOUT THE BANK OF PUNJAB:

The Bank of Punjab was established in 1989, in pursuance of The Bank of Punjab Act 1989 and was given the status of scheduled bank in 1994. The Bank of Punjab is working as a scheduled commercial bank with its network of 273 branches at all major business centers in the country. Of which 64 branches in Lahore and the remaining 209 in all over the Pakistan. The Bank provides all types of banking services such as Deposit in Local Currency, Client Deposit in Foreign Currency, Remittances, Advances to Business, Trade, Industry and Agriculture A wholly owned subsidiary of BOP First Punjab Modaraba (FPM) was established in 1992 and is being managed by Punjab Modaraba Services (Pvt) Ltd. Provide by the Govt. 51% shares are to be maintained with the SBP (State Bank of Pakistan). The person dealing with the finance portion is called as the provincial secretory finance (Director Finance).The main pillar of the Bank of Punjab is its focus on agriculture – this being the backbone of the country’s economy.
