Global leadership development takes the person, their leadership and the human resource department to develop the candidate overtime. The main traits are thinking globally, appreciating cultural differences, has technical skills, building partnership, and sharing leadership. Gaining knowledge in the economic, legal, cultural, and political functions in a global arena are necessary in becoming a global leader. Being taught how to appreciate cultural diversity to include values, leadership styles, industry styles, gender, and race takes time and practice. Learning the religion in other countries is a major tool in developing. Thirdly, technology is used to communicate within a global company. It is very important to understand the communication network by technology and have the expertise in teaching others. Global leaders will have to be less controlling, emotionally sound, willing to share authority and decision making.

Higher Education and globalization in the 21st century continues to bring about many new political, economic, social, and technological developments. Today's students therefore tend to be more digitally savvy, mobile and transitory, socially connected, and more democratic in their worldview. This new reality has placed greater demands on educators in all countries to create more contemporary learning environments that reflect the pluralistic nature of life on our world. Moving forward, virtual global learning communities have the potential to create more authentic and experiential learning spaces for students. Global learning is the cultivation of multiple, diverse, and global perspectives. It allows us to develop the intercultural competencies necessary to become a global citizen who can understand issues from multiple perspectives and gain a deeper appreciation of and tolerance for diversity of all types.
