What is the difference between a leader and a manager? What is the relative importance of leaders and managers to the success of organizations today? Provide an example of a manager you consider to be a leader and explain why you think they are. (Chapter 13)

Leadership is the ability to affect the people you work with to attain the goals of a group or an organization (Williams & McWilliams 2010). Management is getting job done through the people you work with (Williams & McWilliams 2010). The purpose of this paper is to understand the difference between leader and manager and the role that manager and leader play that make them important to the success of the organization.

Leader and manager are different in the way of their role (Toor 2011) For example, leaders will manage work that their subordinates do but managers will make somebody to do something that involves hard work (Toor 2011)

Responsibility and honest are important behaviors for a leader or a manager that will lead to the successful of an organization (Gentry & Sparks 2012). For example,

A good example for a successful manager is Jovita Carranza (Aida Yumi Arakida 2011). For example, she is facing with the difficult task and challenges of managing in the society today.

Although there are a lot of aspect to say that leader and manager are different from each other, but they share the same responsibility. Hence, it is important to practice a good moral value and know the things you should do at your own position.
