Introduction

St. Louis today is known to be one of the most dangerous cities in the United States. In St. Louis city there are a couple of areas in which crime is high. These areas include many troubled youth. St. Louis has many youth based programs that aid in crime prevention. Some of the programs are known as the Wesley House, Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA. Each of these programs aims to reduce delinquency in their own way. Policy implementation is definitely needed due to high crime. However, areas in need of crime prevention includes the St. Louis city mostly north St. Louis area. Compared to Ballwin St. Louis overfunded for crime prevention opportunities. Crime prevention programs are very much effective in improving the neighborhoods in St. Louis MO. Due to the division of city county residences there gap in overall achievement in city children verse county.

This particular area is what some would consider an urban zip code in Saint Louis, Missouri. the average income in one household is roughly ($24,587) while the average American income is ($56,604). This area is also predominately African-American, single family homes. While many African American don't own homes the average cost of a home is about 45,000 dollars. There are more women 14,037 than men, 11,201. The Total Population: 25,238 while there are 191 whites 24,746 African American, Hispanic Population includes 117 there are about 18 Asian one Hawaiian and 41 Indians.
