Project Proposal 1: My Life with Dalai Lama

The Dalai Lama is a religious icon of Tibetan Buddhism. Like other religious leaders the Dalai Lama’s expressed priorities to the general public are that of peace, compassion, love, and forgiveness. There isn’t much potential for this film to be nominated as a best picture nor will the field snake generate additional merchandise. Because it’s about a religious leader the audience will not be broad enough and a snake is not a common children’s toy.

Project Proposal 2: Heidi

Heidi is a famous children’s story about a small girl growing up with her grandfather in the Swiss Alps. The author of this story is Johanna Spyri. This is a re-telling of a story that has been told numerous times in film (cartoon and actor versions) as well as on stage. There isn’t much potential for additional merchandizing that won’t have rights already attributed to someone else.

Project Proposal 3: The Year of the Echo

I can’t come up with any reason that a family oriented company would consider doing a movie about sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll. It fails to meet two of the three must objectives because of its content. And it won’t meet the want objectives for the same reasons. Not a good idea for this company.

Project Proposal 4: Escape from Rio Japuni

This movie has the best potential of them all. It meets the must objectives and it has the potential for additional revenue through the want objectives.
