1. The core components of the Galaxy S 3 are its ability to make and receive phone calls as well as composing and receiving text messages.

The actual components are the brand name itself, the Smart stay, Direct call, Smart alert, S Voice^^^ and comfortable grip with an organic design.

The augmented components are the Galaxy S 3’s ability to be used as a GPS, a mini television and radio.

2. Samsung could have used the brand name Galaxy S 3 for their customers to be able to identity that they are upgrading from the brand that was currently at the top of their range of mobile phones, the Galaxy S 2. They could also have used the name in connection with its range of “Galaxy” mobile phones.

3. Samsung could create the Galaxy S 4 with a built in swiping machine for making payments straight from your phone using a debit or credit card. The swiping facility will enable the user to make payments whenever wherever.

Using the idea screening criteria the idea of the Galaxy S 4 would be useful to consumers and the society because it will make for easier transactions between customers and the sellers. The product would mesh with Samsung because its core use will still be to make and receive calls and text messages but with the added benefit of the swiping facility. This would still be in line with the company’s objectives and strategies.
