The Effect of Water Quality

Water plays an imperative role in human’s life. We cook, bath, wash and drink using water. Thus, it is vital to have a good water quality in our motherland. Water quality is defined as the condition of the water weather it is decent enough to be used by human (Beddow, 2010, May 12). As a citizen, we have to preserve the water quality in our country so that it is safe to be use. Water quality controls will improve one’s health, affect more lakes by those rubbish and the standard quality of water.

A healthy water quality will improve one’s health. This is which leads to the enlightening of one’s health. Human body mostly comprise with water. Research shows that part of human body contain 65% of water as cited from Shalu Mishra (2009). Water act as a channel to transfer human’s needed vitamins, mineral and fibres throughout the body. Hence, if a poor quality of water act as the channel in our body, it will effect the nourishment of the vitamins, minerals, and fibres that needed in our body. We might have to take more dose than we ordinarily took to make up for the loss of nourishment of the vitamins, minerals and fibres in our body. In addition, a bad water quality will cause physical complication to human body. More germs are found in a bad quality of water. Germs that are found in the water will take effect on human body. For instance, we will develop skin rashes, hair fall and red eyes due to the bad water quality. Besides that, dirty water is a perfect place for mosquitoes to breed and it will cause an increasement of disease spread by the mosquitoes such as malaria and encephalitis (http://worldsavvy.org/monitor/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=709&Itemid=1195, 2009). Therefore, water quality needs to be control to have a healthier life.
