What is Art?

Art is defining as a visual expression of idea or an experience, formed with skill through the use of a medium. A medium is select so the artists can express the ideas and feelings that they wish to present (Preble Art form).

Art is something that is created with your imagination or something that expresses important idea or feelings. Art is work that is created by artists for example painting, sculptures, and photography and much more it is created to be a beautiful thing. If you ever go to a museum there is so much art and painting, sculptures and photography that you can see and try to see if you can tell what the artists is trying to say. In this paper we had to research eight forms of arts they are: Painting, Sculpture, Architecture, Photography, Printmaking, Conceptual Art, Installation Art and Performance Art.

1. Painting: The Mona Lisa which name was Lisa Gherardini the wife of Francesco del Giocondo. This portrait was painted inflorence around 1503 and 1506. This painting is to believe to be part of Leondarda-da-Vincit art painting (Mona Lisa).

2. Sculpture: Angels with Apostle’s Greed this cast stone is 12x16 feet. This piece was based on the interpretation that Martin’s had of a loose sketch. This sculpture was assembled in five sections which were done on site. Sculpture is one of the oldest forms of art and the most revered (Sculpture.com).

3. Architecture: Here in Atlanta Georgia you can go down town and see all kinds of architecture it is always on the up and coming. Atlanta Georgia is always a place where you can go to see great architecture. The Commercial-Style Equitable Building was Atlanta’s first skyscraper.
