Abstract
Where do I begin? That is an excellent statement. Where do you begin, when you are given any research project? Before you even begin an assignment you must properly understand the task and purpose that was stated in the syllabus. I will be using the Internet sourced, Where Do I Begin article by the Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) to discuss outlining, drafting, revising, editing, and proofreading.

Outlining
When you searching for the proper outline for your research paper you need to consider the four types of outlines listed below:
Parallelism: The heading and subheading should have parallel structure and be the same. If the first heading is a verb, then the second heading should be a verb.

II. STUDY
Coordination: Heading 1 should have the same information that is contained in Heading 2. If you are using a subheading then it should be less important than the headings.

Subordination: The heading should be a general as possible, while the subheading should be more precise.

Division: The headings should be divided into 2 or more sections. If you have many subdivisions then you can combine parts of the subdivisions.
