Sexual Politics by Kate Millett is about politics. At first, she define the word politic and the theory behind politic. She explain that politic is a powerstructured relationships where one group dominant another group. She then go on of what is the power in the relationship between members of the races, classes and sexes because each of the group do not have a representative in the political structures. She goes on by saying that we tried with racism to explain the relationship with race but when it comes to the sexes, it a whole ball game. In society/ the politic world, females are supposed to be ruled by the male structure to try to explain the politics way of the powerstructured relationship. She acknowledge us that male rule and control of society is never discuss because it dangerous to actually to mention. She said there are a lot of reasons of explanations but we choose to not discuss such matter but when it comes to the women sex there’s so much to say and discuss about. She talks about the male, why everything in society is only male oriented for example, the money, gun, and the authority to be in control. The battle of the sexes will always be there whether we have equal rights or not. She uses different examples of where the dominant in politics come from by going through the different kind of religions. Millett tried to show us that even professional such as educators and scientist try to let us know what is wrong or not when it comes to women in politics nor have some sense of power. Society dominated not just by masculinity but also by men whose primary purpose is to construct and maintain a certain power relationship over women.at the end of the day both female and male have a purpose in society and it is time to give us the chance to grow and have a part and things need to change.
