“To be yourself in a world that is trying to make you something else is a great accomplishment”. So a question such as “who am I?” really gives me the opportunity to differentiate and express who I really am and who I can be. I am not a complex teenager who thinks the world is against me, nor am I an overly sophisticated “know- it- all” who doesn’t take time to pay attention to my surroundings. I can’t say I’m like every other person because there are certain things that make me a unique individual. What I can say is that I am progressing to make a brighter future for myself.

I like reading The Economist and watching "I love the 80s." I like tennis, Fazoli's breadsticks and writing assignments. I value honesty, commitment, scholarship and kindness. These are hard and true facts, but there is a lot I do not know about myself. I don't know how I feel about the death penalty, I have mixed feelings about religion, and I don't know what I think about a cashless society. I have no stock answer to offer about a life-changing experience or a moment of enlightenment, and it is hard for me to give a comprehensive proclamation of who I am, for my identity unfolds more every day as my experiences grow. I am 42 years old, life has a lot of unfolding to do.

I’ve always been known for having a bubbly and energetic personality. I love to smile thus making others smile along with me. Being helpful has been a trait of mine since a young age. Lending a helping hand surely brought joy to me; so inevitably, I volunteer my services a lot. For example, I volunteer teaching Religion in Public elementary schools throughout my four years in high school. It excites me to work with children; hence my future occupation should be a teacher.

But things changed when I entered college, a lot of pressure from families and counselling told me I'm too good to be a teacher. So, accountancy then was where I was led. For almost twenty years of my profession, year after year, i feel...
