Jackie Robinson was born on January 31 1919, he came from a family of farmers. There were five children but Jackie was the little 1 of them all. When Jackie was 6 he started farming He played track and football in school, he Graduated in 1935 from Washington junior high school. In school he was the first transferred to win the varsity letters. He was also one of four black players on 1939 UCL football team.

In 1942 Robinson was drafted and assigned to the army. While serving in the military in 1944 Jackie was arrested because he would not sit on the back of the bus. He was later court martialed for the incident.in 1945 the Kansas city Monarchs a professional team for the negro league sent him an invite to try out.

He made the team he signed a contract of $400 a month which would be equivalent to $5240 a month in 2014 . Shortly after In the month of August Jackie was scouted by the Brooklyn Dodgers and accepted terms of a contract that played 600$ a month which would be 7860$ a month in 2014. In 1947 Jackie played his first major league game at the age of 28.

He played only 10 seasons. Jackie quit baseball at age 37. Jackie wife name was Rachel. His wife had 3 kids. Jackie jr, David and Sharon. Jackie Robinson wife was boring July 19 1922. Jackie wife die at age 90. Jackie died at the age of 53.
