In your own words, answer this question. Can a country be successful if it has economic freedom but not political freedom?

Well first of all, economic freedom is important for better opportunities and a better quality of life. It’s the free will to decide how to make, sell and trade goods without the mediation of government or other authorities. Political freedom is one’s right to exercise their rights as promised under the law. Meaning no interfering with the freedom of an individual by the use of hostility or violence. So speaking for myself, I think that a country can’t be successful with only economic freedom being exercised and no political freedom. A great outcome for countries that only exercise economic freedom is that they have the opportunity to create great things like cars, updated technology and share it with the world but no political freedom would impose a high-risk of someone trying to take control and take advantage of it by force. In a perfect world where government hostility or any violence doesn’t exist, countries could thrive and be successful with only economic freedom but that is never the case in reality.

The U.S. State Department issues travel warnings when it decides, based on all relevant information, to recommend that Americans avoid travel to a certain country. For January, the travel warnings are listed for the countries of Liberia, Libya, Iran, Mali, Chad, Rep. of South Sudan, and Ukraine. The list unfortunately doesn’t stop there but to focus on only a few, in Ukraine there is a travel warning because of its increase of low-level terrorism incidents, kidnappings, and threats.
