As discussed in our brief meeting I have written this proposal for your inspection.

It has been noticed that employees (administration clerks) who work in casualty are experiencing stress and trauma. Conversations among the employees has indicated a sense of stress and trauma with regard to encounters with patients who are critically injured that they assist in casualty, they are not able to cope with the amount of unforeseen events that has taken place since their shift from filing rooms. The amount of stress and trauma experienced seems to interfere with the person’s ability to function effectively in both professional and personal lives. It has also been indicated that longer breaks are being taken while others sleep during the night shift. The purpose of this proposal is therefore to examine the causes of stress and trauma among hospital clerks and provide coping skills and training and psychological support to ensure that excellent service is provided to patients.

While it is normal for an individual to have challenges adapting to change some changes may be hard to handle or even to deal with. Internet search points out that when transferred to new position individual struggle to keep up and handle the amount of traumatic events that occur. Work related stress and trauma is common in many organisations though the causes and reasons differ yet it still remains that it is a costly problem.

Journal article on stress or trauma are mostly focused on nursing staff accordingly this is because It has been agreed that, in the caring profession, nurses form the largest group of which the principal mission is the nurturing of and caring for people in the human health experience.
