How will you influence people to strive willingly for group objectives in your organization (target based industry)? Apply your interpersonal influence through communication process towards attaining your specialized goals?

Solution:

As a manager to achieve the desired goals he has to perform management.

Management: - is a process of carrying managerial functions and managerial roles effectively and efficiently to achieve desired goals.

In order to achieve the goals, the following managerial functions to be effectively used.

a. Planning

b. Organizing

c. Leading

d. Controlling

Planning: - Comes where the Job is to set the objectives, goals and decide how to achieve them.

Organizing: - is the process of allocating human and non-human resources so that plans can be carried out successfully.

Leading: - the process of influencing others to engage in the work behaviors necessary to reach organizational goals.

Controlling: - the process of regulating organizational activities so that actual performance confirms to expected organizational goals.

Manager Roles: -

• Interpersonal: This role involves human interaction.

• Informational: This role involves the sharing and analyzing of information.

• Decisional: This role involves decision making.

STEP -1

Define Objectives : - (planning)

OBJECTIVES are something that we will try to make happen in the future.

Objectives to be two types –

a. Main Objective (Organization Objective)

b. Sub Objectives: - making a main objective in to smaller objectives, to handle easily and to complete with in time bound, monitor and measure.

Here are some actions to be taken as a manager to make setting goals and objectives

1 Have clear goals and objectives and share them with employees.

2. Plan jointly with employees. Include their work related goals and expectations in the overall goals for the work group.
