Week 1 Assignment

History of our Fathers

Do you remember when you would go visit grandma or grandpa when you was little and they always had one of those sayings like: I remember when I was your age we use to do this? I can imagine everyone can relate to that and has many fond memories of them like I do. You may think and say questions like these: Why is this important? What has this got to do with what we are talking about today? The answer is simple and today I will try to explain some on that because it affects us still today no matter how long ago it was.

The answer to the questions above is very simple: History Matters. History matters on several different reasons. The biggest one that everyone can agree on is it is a part of who we are and our culture. The country, civilization or even nations didn’t get the point of where they are today without a beginning. The beginnings may have been small or as simple as a different voice in opinion or a walk for freedom, but if we don’t know our beginnings then how will we know our future. This brings me to the second point I have and that is history repeats itself and this has been shown countless of times over and over again. This is a natural occurrence just as volcanoes or hurricanes are and will be for as long as this earth still spins in the universe.

One of the final points I want to bring is that is not only enough to know history and the major events, but we also need to know certain people in those events. The reason for that is each of us all brings important values to the table or whatever we are doing. Each of us no matter the age brings a value that couldn’t be brought by the same person. The great thing about that is we are all unique and everybody is different.
