Good morning every one!

Welcome to the first ever award ceremony called “Golden Cap”. This award is giving in recognition of outstanding achievements in coffee industry.

Think of this as the “Oscar” of coffee. Today we have three distinguished individuals, whose contributions to this area are know world-wide.

The first nominee is Marin Artukovich. His company company was established on the western slopes of Mauna Loa in Captain Cook, Hawaii in 1997. It began as a small backyard business only producing 38,000 pounds (17,000 kg) of coffee in its first year. Coffee production nearly doubled every year to reach 2010 production of over 700,000 pounds (320,000 kg). Today it is the largest coffee plantation in the world. Welcome Martin Artukovich!

The second nominee is John Sylvan. He is the inventor of the ever popular Keurig machine – something that millions of us use every day. Welcome to you as well.

Our last nominee is Howard Schultz. Howard is the chairman and CEO[3] of globally know company called Starbucks.

All of these individuals, in my opinion, deserve to win this covered prize, but alas there can be only one winner.

Millions of people around the world voted, our distinguished panel labored over the results and finally one person was selected. So, without further ado, please put your hands together for our winner Mr. Howard Schultz!

Schultz was born in the poor Jewish family[7] on July 19, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York. His childhood dream was to become a basketball player. He is the first person in his family to go to college. He finished Northern Michigan University and began working as a salesperson for Xerox Corporation. In 1981 Howard began working for Starbucks. He worked as the Director of Marketing for 4 years before he decided to leave Starbuck and started the own business. In 1987, the original owners sold the Starbucks chain to former employee Howard Schultz, who rebranded his Il Giornale coffee outlets as Starbucks and quickly...
