Education is simply gaining knowledge in any way or form. There are many different ways to get an education and most people say that school is the only form of getting an education. That is partially true, but learning anything and retaining it in your brain by any means is an education in my book. However I would not personally do it or condone it, your electronic devices including your phone and laptop can be your teacher. There is so much information on the World Wide Web that you can search anything and get an answer in seconds. Some people may actually do this rather than going to school, but I feel like having interactions with your teacher’s hands on is a better way of retaining information and gaining an education. In my group, we discussed that school is an investment into yourself that you will gain knowledge and skills from to help find you a job in the future. Learning in school and learning on a device is comparing apples to oranges. Getting an education on a device is all up to you. All of the information would have to interest you to search it up. You will not learn everything like you would in school. In school, knowledge is thrown at you constantly and you will learn things that you have no interest in, but that is what an education is; having information that you learned hoping to use it in the real world one day that would help you out socially, or with a job. Going to school is your best option of getting an education because it was created solely for that.
