Abstract Mobbing in other word bullying is an initial unresolved conflict that is preventing the targeted person from accomplishing his or her job in the most effective way. Many people face with mobbing in their workplace. This behavior has important negative effects both on worker’s health and performance. These are the reasons why the researchers do more studies on this topic nowadays. This paper aims identifying the causes of mobbing behavior experienced by the selected company in Izmir, Turkey.

1. Introduction

To get the best performance from the employees of a company, providing them a positive working environment is very important. They need to have mutual respect with other employees and employers to feel good and safe.

Collaboration can be counted as a key to success of an organization [1]. However poor collaboration may affect the business entity. This poor collaboration can be, bullying and mobbing at work place, lack of respect and negative working atmosphere. These are the facts making employee feel bad and work in a lower performance.

1.1 Mobbing

1.1.1 What is Mobbing?

Mobbing is a term that occurred almost twenty years ago. Today, this is an important topic that is being studied and the number of studies about it increasing rapidly especially for last ten years. Heinz Leymann a Swedish citizen psychologist is famous with his workings about mobbing.
