Case Background

It’s all about the 2 restaurants where one of them which is Kelley’s seafood restaurant is very profitable because of excellent food quality, but lately has been having a problems with consistency because of numerous suppliers. On the other hand, Jim’s steak house is a very successful restaurant because of the techniques and strategies he has been applying on his business.

Kelley’s seafood restaurant has a problems with the consistency of earning profits because of numerous suppliers.

Jim’s steak house has no problem regarding on his business.

To have a specific supplier for Kelley’s restaurant.

To build a strong and open relationship between Kelley and his employees.

To cope up with their losses.

To become productive and make all works easy.

S- Many suppliers, excellent food quality, all employees are cross-trained in all areas.

W- Minimal wages, few perks, little communication with his employees, no automation.

O- Many people likes to eat seafood.

T- Kelley might not get employees because of low wages, it might not get the trust of its customers because of the way he managed it.

Jim’s steak house

S- They used modern technologies, fresh meats and ingredients from best suppliers, gives extra-large portions of food to customers, high wages to the employees, and has teamwork.

W- Many new hires come from referrals from current employees.

O- Many people will patronize his business because of excellent customer service.

T- other competitors might copy his strategies and techniques.
