INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

Technology has been considered a key factor for today’s modernization. The innovations it brought about to the society have served the humanity in many ways. Technology is a tool, a way for fact-based learning and allows students to do a lot of the research using the Internet and various tools (Lokesh, 2013). With the invention of computers coupled with widespread use of Internet, people grasped more knowledge and understanding because the information becomes readily available.

Computers are now part of children’s life and education. Merging technology in the field of education has made the process of learning and sharing knowledge and interactive, interesting and fun-filled activity. A positive and effective combination of education for children and technology could have a good impact on the advancement and preparation on Filipino children’s learning process providing with parental guidance (Capulong, et.al, 2011).

Education has paved the way to modernization. Traditional education which is a long-term established, teacher-centered and holistic approach is more to be out-shadowed by fast pacing convention and usability of technology (Golez, 2012). Nowadays, there are numerous techniques that educators can be used for rendering lectures and researches to all learners.

One of the pages in ieeexplore.ieee.org, 2011 entitled (“Designing an interactive multimedia learning system for the children of primary schools in Jordan”) states that the introduction of the Internet, and several new inventions and technologies especially in the communication and computer systems' field, there is a need to enhance teaching and educational methods through the utilization of those technologies which may improve the abilities of educators to present information in an interactive and media enhanced formats relative to traditional methods.
