Abstract

This paper dives into the IT profession production lines, and has you question how well you trust your other co-workers. The Sources I have include research on the Sony inside job and form the CIT text itself, also using my resources asking professionals at my job about cyber security and the essentials we use. Let me start this paper with asking you the reader, how much do you trust the person you work with? Do you think that if they were offered money they would give up company secrets? If so then you might have an inside job occurring in your work place one day. What is an inside job you ask? An inside job is when someone with the credentials and information necessary to access sensitive information either profits off it, or destroys it completely.

You would never think that Mike who just started working here a year ago would take a under the table payment from another competitive company that just goes against ethics! That’s what the bosses want to hear, cold hard fact here they offer large sums of money for valuable information like financial records and databases with customer information. What could they use this for? Well if they are saying they are making a large amount of profit and it turns out they aren’t this could destroy the opposing company completely. The customer information is another story all together though, if a bank lost all its user data then they would have access to a lot of bank accounts making it easy enough to take all your money and you would never know it.

Scared yet? I believe you’re looking over your shoulder now and asking if mike is really a trust worthy guy, or maybe you’re just paranoid.
