Executive Summary (Candace Arnold)

The company Buy-Rite Furniture, a local furniture store, is looking to expand into the online sales end of the business, since they currently operate in a physical store only mode. They also want to make it easier for their customers to browse, purchase, ship, and pick-up the various furniture products that they offer. Buy-Rite wants their customers to be given the chance to purchase the furniture with credit or debit cards, be able to login to their personalized accounts by creating them with login credentials, provide various delivery options, full furniture selections along with the ability to customize these selections, and even offer an online chat and help section for the customers to take advantage of.

The online system that is developed for the company will assist both new and existing customers with an online purchasing experience that will allow them to choose from furniture for any room in their home, and then arrange for their furniture to be delivered or picked up from the store. The online environment will also allow the customer to be able to fully customize their selections so that they will match the décor and style that is in their home. Customers will first be introduced to a home page, with login and/or account creation links and browsing options too. After the customer has completed their purchase they will be given the option to choose from various pick-up and delivery dates that match their availability.

When Buy-Rite Furniture completes this new online system it will allow them the opportunity to increase both the amount of customers that they reach which will in turn increase their revenue by allowing the customers the chance to shop from the convenience of their own home, or even just to see what the selection of furniture is that Buy-Rite offers.
