Rosie: Hi

Kim: Rosie, would you like to share your story with the group? Rosie: uh, sure.

Hi everyone, my name is Rosie and I am a victim of sexual violence. It happened about two weeks ago on Halloween. A whole bunch of us thought it would be fun to dress up as risky Disney Characters: Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, and Pocahontas. I was Little Red Riding Hood. After we all got into our costumes we did the typical college thing to do, and we pre­gamed our pre­game. I know that I do not have a very high tolerance so I just had one shot while all of my friends had about 2­3 shots. Before we left our pre­game for the other pre­game my mother called me and asked me to be safe tonight. She then told me what she tells me every time I go out, “don’t drink the punch, you never know what is in it”. When I hung up the phone with her, we headed to the pre­game where we continued to drink some more.

At about 11:30 PM my friends and I left the pre­game and made our way to the actual parties. The first two parties we went to were a lot of fun, but were overcrowded so we left after about 30 minutes. We then decided that we were going to go to the Halloween party hosted by

the men's hockey team. When we got to the hockey party we went straight to the alcohol because we felt that we were sobering up. We all got in this extremely long line where we would get some beer. As I waited in line, this guy in a mask tapped me on the shoulder. I looked at him and was unable to recognize him, but once he took his mask off I realized it was the hot senior from my psych class. I couldn’t get full words out of my mouth because I just kept thinking to myself that there is no way that the hottest senior I know was actually talking to me.
