1. (20 points) What is the relationship between business ethics and the law?

Business ethics and the law are somewhat closely related but they do not completely overlap each other. Even though most ethical considerations in business are also legally enforceable, it is not always the case. In other words, the law does not prohibit many acts that would be widely condemned as unethical in business.

2. (10 points) What are the main determinants of business ethics?

There are several factors need to be considered when determining business ethics. The first factor is social morality such as social values, norms, and traditions. The second factor is cultural values which include religion, heritage, and family system. The third factor is organization aspects such as policy and regulation of the organizations and relations of managers and subordinates. The fourth factor is the level of economic development.

3. (10 points) What is organizational behavior and how does it affect the way members of the workforce behave?

According to Rathi, it is the study and application of knowledge about human behavior related to other elements of an organization such as structure, technology and social systems. Organizational behavior can affect employees’ behavior positively or negatively in terms of their motivation, communication practices, philosophical stances, work ethics, and even job performance.
