To whom it may concern,

I graduated from High School, and my family still lives in that town. I am very close with my family, as I was always taught that family should be the most important thing in one’s life. A few of my family members have severe health issues. These health problems have led to the financial strain of me and my family. The only reason I have been able to live in my college town for the past 4 years is that I was granted a fellowship through the Music Department and other wonderful scholarships through University. After the completion of this, my eighth semester, I will no longer receive any of the monetary awards that allow me to stay in this area. If my request to be placed at a High School in a town near my family were granted, I would be able to live with my family. This would alleviate a large amount of stress from mine and my family’s lives.

My father has worked for this School District for 14 years, and through him I have come to know much about the many schools in the district. One school that has always piqued my interest is this High School. Coming from a high school with a diversity score of only 0.15, which is far less than the state average of 0.31, it would be beneficial for me to experience a school with much more diversity. High School has a high diversity score of 0.55. I’ve always heard wonderful things about the school in general, but the most important thing for me is Mrs. Blah, the choir director at this High School. Mrs. Blah is one of the most highly acclaimed and respected choir directors in this state, and I very deeply believe that my education would be greatly improved by having her as a mentor and guide. There are many excellent music educators in this area, but I feel that the right mentor for me is closer to home.

I love this area, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with the cost of living in this area. As the end of my college career approaches, it would be nice to be with my family again,...
