My life before I came to Christ.

My life before I came to Christ was all about serving my own needs. Although I was raised to believe in Christ and attended church on a regular basis, I could truly tell you I didn’t know him. I only knew of him through the eyes of my grandparents and church pastor. So needless to say I was living a self-indulgent life. Living a life full of sin not caring about the consequences my sinful life would have on my soul.

How I came to a cognitive knowledge of who Jesus is and what He did for me.

One year my co-worker challenged me to join his church bible readers club. The challenge was to read the bible all the way through, after reading the bible for myself I truly begin to have a cognitive knowledge of who Jesus is and what he done for me. Page after page, I saw how Jesus love for me was unwavering despite of my sinful ways. Jesus also took all of our sin on himself and die for us. Because of Jesus death, I know my sin doesn’t have to keep me from God any longer. All he asks is for me to declare Jesus is lord and believe with my heart that Jesus rose from the died. Repent for all of my sins and believe in the gospel.

Circumstances surrounding your conversion.

I was feeling like something was missing in my life. I couldn’t put my finger on what I was lacking. Nothing I tried would satisfy this need I had. So I came to a realization that My missing need was something I couldn’t satisfy with worldly things. I started feeling as if Jesus was trying to talk to me saying,” I’m here for you”. So I decide to read aloud Romans 10:9 believing every word I said wholeheartedly. I was my simple way of become saved.
