Premier is an alliance of healthcare providers which serves more than 2600 US hospitals and 84,000 plus other healthcare sites. It helps its members to reduce the cost and improve quality of care. It also helps its members in staying ahead of health reform and other new models of health care delivery.

2) What were the main challenges for Premier to achieve its vision?

Premier’s processes and the systems used to implement the processes were isolated. ²his made it diFcult for the members to connect di³erent sources of data and metrics and see everything that relates to a speci´c iniTaTve at one place and decide on how to drive the iniTaTve.
