1. Phospholipids are part of the Plasma Membrane. They act as building blocks of the biological cell membranes in all organisms and participate in the transduction of biological signals across the membrane. The phospholipids carefully choose which molecules to transport across the Plasma Membrane; therefore they don’t allow others to pass.

2. H2O are required to carry by diffusion through the lipid bilayer and through water channels. Organisms are mostly depending on water to survive; water may have trouble moving through membranes to dissipate nutrients needed for life’s processes. Aquaporin helps water pass through cell membranes and help organisms carry out life’s processes. Aquaporin’s are integral membrane proteins from a larger family of major intrinsic proteins that form pores in the membrane of biological cells. Aquaporin’s allow for water movement between a cell and its surroundings. Water can also cross the cell membrane by diffusion through the lipid bilayer. The diffusion method is not sufficient.

3. Both GLUCOSE and AMINO ACID get in and out of the cell by diffusion. These transport proteins are uniquely recognized which allows them to cross the plasma membrane.

4. No, they can’t. Because they can pass through the plasma membrane directly and they don’t have the transport protein to help them cross the Plasma Membrane. They don’t pass the plasma membrane by facilitated diffusion.

5. Respiratory system and the circulatory system. Diffusion.

6. The Great Dehydration will take place in the hypertonic condition. Because the sport drinks contain appropriate amounts of electrolytes to prevent people from losing the water while doing sports.

7. Cellular respiration is a process in which the energy in glucose is transferred to ATP. In respiration, glucose is oxidized and release energy. Oxygen is reduced to form water.
