Dehydration

Water is needed in the body to function properly. Water flushes toxins out of the body and it makes your organs and joints run smoothly and easily without pain. Water also flushes your kidneys to help remove toxins from your body through urination. Water is essential for your body to perspire naturally. When doing vigorous exercises the body releases sweat to keep cool so it loses water, in order for the body to function water is needed so that you won’t become dehydrated. There are some symptoms that relate to dehydration such as muscle cramps, dark urine, headaches, and thirst. Brain damage and death can be a result of dehydration. One of the major benefits of water is that it can help relieve constipation.

When there is not enough of water in your body you can retain certain symptoms such as bad breath, body odor, your body can age, and there can be a strong possibility of a stroke. The body can also experience fatigue, exhaustion and you will have that worn out feeling unable to get motivated. No having enough water in your system puts unwanted stress on your body that can create problems as you get older.

Sodium regulates the total amount of water in the body and the transmission of sodium into and out of individual cells also plays a role in critical body functions. When your body is lacking sodium you can become confused. Sodium helps the body maintain normal fluid balances so if it becomes unbalanced severe sodium imbalance such as stupor or even lethargy, which causes an individual to appear sleepy, weak and unable to rouse. Not having enough sodium in your system can cause heart failure and shock.

Potassium is in control of getting fuel to our muscles. An important fact to consider while considering your potassium intake is that sodium opposes potassium. What this means is that if your diet is too high in sodium, your body is not absorbing as much potassium as it...
