During the history of Greece, the ramification of Persian Wars plays an important role. It decided the political and cultural environments on eastern Mediterranean area after 400 BCE. Before we talk about the political and cultural ramification of the Persian Wars on Greek poleis, we first need to know what the main Greek poleis are and what connect them together before the Persian Wars. The Greek poleis refer to the ancient Greek city-state, but they share few common features with modern cities. By the way, the word "politics" comes from the word" poleis". The polis was the central urban area that may also have controlled the surrounding countryside. Athens was the urban center of Attica; Thebes of Boeotia; Sparta of the southwestern Peloponnese, etc. Each of these 3 poleis was separate from the others. (N.S.Gill, 2001) Even though they geographically separate from each other, people lived in them connected them together. Just as Plato, Republic, 369, B.C.E stated, " And because people need many things, and because one person calls on a second out of one need and on a third out of a different need, many people gather in a single place to live together as partners and helpers. And such a settlement is called a polis. Isn’t that so". Different people will need different things, the desire and needs connect all these Greek poleis together. In addition, human beings are social networking animals, and they need to live together to survive, especially in the ancient time. The efficiency of the labor is low, the natural disasters happened every year, and people hardly have the ability to predict them, so all of these factors connected all these Greek poleis together.

However, corporations and confliction exited together between Greek Poleis. Just as I mentioned above, at the ancient time, efficiency of productions are extremely low, and natural disasters happened frequently. At the same time, the populations in the Greek poleis has a dramatically increase around 800...
