After review of the findings, I would recommend the Follower Strategy in order to compete with a successful company such as Mega Store. Although there are many good reasons to develop the new concept on our own, potential new markets may already be defined and saturated.

However, if we decide to utilize a "Fast Follower" approach, we must have a strategy that is as carefully crafted and intelligently executed as that of or more aggressive competitor.

With that said, we have to carefully understand the following:

* What our competitive advantage is and how we will compete in the market.

* Our firm must identify our position relative to the competition in the market

* By knowing if we are a leader, challenger, follower or nicher, we can adopt appropriate strategies to compete. And we have already discovered, we find ourselves behind and therefore must adopt the Follower Strategy.

It’s a myth that the information technology (IT) requirements of emerging and midsize businesses are simpler than those of large enterprises. Virtually every day, we interact with the technology and business leaders of midsize companies whose IT demands not only rival the requirements of much larger companies, but in many cases exceed them. Fortunately, our company can resolve the dilemma of updating our outmoded IT infrastructure without massive one-time investments in technology. New technologies, such as Microsoft® .NET, enable companies to leverage previous investments in technology while step-by-step integrating their business systems to enable an efficient, cost-effective, and flexible solution to driving and managing growth. Without a well devised strategy, we run the risk of reducing this initiative to another IT program/project.
