In the novel ‘’A Christmas Carol” written by Charles Dickens, he creates the main character Ebenze Scrooge to be an unbelieving miser. Scrooge changes his social conscience towards Christmas and his attitude towards money , but only dose this when he is visited by the three ghost of the chirstmas past, present and yet to come. The ghost’s form scrooge to make redemption, as he sees and feelings what he is putting people through. He also looks into the future and doesn’t like who he had become and has the chance to change it.

“A Christmas Carol” is often seen as the story of Scrooge the Miser learning the evil of his ways, but it is really a warning to all that we need to be open hearted to people in our community.

Scrooge doesn’t celebrate Christmas ‘’ humbug’’ is the way he response to it and thinks that ‘’every idiot should be boiled with his own pudding’’ at the time of Christmas as it’s all a waste of money. Scrooge Gets angry with Bob Craitch ‘’ what right do you have to be merry? What reason have you to be merry? You’re poor enough ‘’ in an angry tone. Whereas Bob sees it as a ‘’ kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time’’. Scrooge sent the clerk home for the night and to have one day off for Christmas time with his family. Scrooge was on his way home and walked up his door step to see a terrifying face in the door bell, giving scrooge a fright. Scrooge was sitting by a hardly light fire ‘’lonely’’ by himself, and he heard noises that gave him a scare. It was a ghost, the ghost of Marley ‘’face had a dismal light about it , like a bad lobster in a dark cellar.’’ Marley was his old business man, the ghost was had chains ‘’mad of cash boxes, keys, padlock, legers,deedsand heavy purses wrought in steel’’ which had shaken scrooge up. The reason he was his was to warn scrooge that he was going to be present with three ghosts.
