The differences

Based on these three books, there are different in term of their strategic management process. The first book said the strategic management process refer to three strategy which are formulation, implementation, and the evaluation. The second book view of strategic management process based on fourth implication. The first one, change in any component will affect several or all of the components. The second one, strategy formulation and implementation are sequent. Third is the necessity of feedback, review, and evaluation to the beginning stages of the management process. The last but not least is dynamic system. The third book is based on the fundamental includes four management functions which are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling.

Each of the books has its own definition of strategic management process. It is depending on the nature of the organization and the way of manager’s thought on their organization. The manager will consider the strength and weaknesses of the organization’s internal and external factors, so that can be suite with their strategy. Each of the differences that existed in these three books causes by the different thinking and way to achieve organization’s objective. The different perspective can give different impact of successful in achieving organization’s goal. Each book has different process because of the organizations do not want to have one way process. Because it may give same impact of successful among them.

The similarities

Even though these three books have a different process, the ways they translate it still same. The main focus of each process is to achieve their organization’s objective with the strategic planning.
