Team Policies and Discipline

My team will be mainly focused on academics first and then lacrosse. You cant win games when you have kids ineligible, that’s why keeping your playing eligible is so important. I will establish study tables for my athletes; if you have a 2.5 or lower you need to get 4 hours a week, 3.0 or lower is 2 hours a week and if you have a 3.0 or above you do not have any study table hours. Also, if you have any D’s or F’s at midterms or when I assign you to fill out a grade report you will be assigned more study table hours and you will complete them in my office. You also will be highly encouraged to get a tutor in the subject you are struggling in and also if you need to go to the writing lab you should go there often. If you do not go to your study hall hours you will run as an individual and you will be assigned more hours as well. Academics are what will make us stronger as a team. An easy way to stay eligible is just to go to class, so if you are caught skipping class you shall run as an individual and if you are caught skipping any more than that the whole team will run. If you are caught drinking on the weekends the whole team will run and you also will have to run after practice. If you do not get caught drinking on the weekends you don’t have to run it is simple as that. With drinking comes drugs, if you are caught with drugs the whole team will be punished with running and it wont be fun. If you are caught a second time with drugs you will miss the first game and will have to be drug tested just to come back and play. If you are caught a third time or fail the drug test, you will be asked to leave the team until the next season. Last, if you are last to practice, the whole team will run until you show up. You should be at practice 30 minutes before and ready and stretched to go, no need to waste time with that.
