In order to reduce stress in the workplace; a business needs to have an organizational structure that is controlled and offers support during times of organizational change. An organization can also reduce stress for its employees by defining the roles of employees in the workplace, eliminating work load stress, providing social support, and proper training.

Amazon's organizational structure helps mitigate workplace stress by using a method called scientific management which is " a natural strategy in which management or employers’ responsibility is to ensure that all the processes and production operations within the company are stabilize and whatever problems that may arise are subject to the management decisions." (www.managementparadise.com) The Amazon organization values proper order and positioning within departments and also they strive to have " control over the resources, production processes, and employees’ welfare are under the supervision of the management." (www.managementparadise.com)

Amazon also has a scientific way of selecting employees, conducting orientations, and training employees. Also, it appears that Amazon's organizational structure reduces stress in the workplace by developing a structure that allows good relations with employees and members of the organization. This leads to a collective effort by employees through cooperation within the organization. Cooperation of employees can help reduce stress in the workplace by offering social support, reducing the burnout of employees, and by creating a better work atmosphere.
