People are in world are different in respect. Each individual has right to be treated equally. Sometimes this does not happen and people are discriminated against because of their difference.to avoid discrimination people have to understand others and their respect for their religion and their self. Care worker need to have a good understanding of culture, difference and diversity, so they can avoid discrimination.

Discrimination and prejudice there are many kind of discrimination. Some might have prejudice against a person or group of people for reasons such as age, gender etc. There are many forms

Discrimination can lead up to abuse. This can happen to all age’s ad happen to males and females, Including disabled people and others.

Inappropriate behaviour

discrimination practise include inappropriate behaviour which we all have duty to challenge. All service providers have a responsibility to behave appropriately. They also have the right to be treated equally such as hospital reception desk, school, college and other public places.

Media

The role of media can lead up to discrimination. The media are excellent at passing on information very quickly to the rest of world. They are powerful on portraying images of practise group. The media include books, magazines, TV, radio, internet etc.

Books: these can be biased because they contain the author’s or editor’s opinion.

Leaflet: many leaflets are factual designed to delivers a message about for example a certain illness but their choice of words and pictures they use.

Magazines: these can influence for examples young girls to think they have to be thin to be attractive because so many of models. The pictures are so thin, more serious magazines may covers issue such as congregation issues and political, but again it has to be remembered that article...
