SHOULD WOMEN BOX?

Sports are one of the most important parts in the lives of people. Sports help people relax, keep fit even they can earn lot of money if they play as professional athletes. Besides that, there are some arguments about some kind of sport unsuitable for women to play such as boxing or material arts because people think they are violence and not feminine. However, there are also some people especially women are disagree with that attitude. This essay will show several strong arguments in favor of women should be allow to play boxing and material arts.

The most common argument not allowed women to box because boxing is unhealthy and can cause some health problems and injuries for females. However, others state that, other kinds of sport are also unsafe for women. To illustrate that, every kind of sport people have to move their body a lot and use lot of energy to do some action, these things may also lead to injuries and health problems. For example, football, tennis and volleyball, even yoga is also having some unpredictable injuries not just only boxing. In addition, now women can protect themselves when play boxing by some protective gears such as headgear. These things can reduce the power attack to their bodies and avoid almost serious injuries. From this, we can see boxing is like other sports and women should be allowed to play.

The first good argument allow women to play boxing is equality between men and women. The traditional attitudes show us that men are stronger and bigger than women and women cannot do everything men can but that attitude has changed significantly and now males and females are equal in society.
