Section I. Executive Summary:

NOMO Auto Group (here after referred to as NOMO) is a recently formed corporation that consists of four used car dealerships. Each dealership is located in the tri-state area. Currently to keep track of sales, NOMO uses an Excel spreadsheet at each dealership. Each dealership is currently in charge of storing and maintaining their spreadsheets, sales, and inventory, and it is not centrally located for ease of distribution.

Since NOMO started many problems have arisen. The system that they currently have in place to keep track of sales is not centrally located or stored. They are spending too much money and time making phone calls and faxing inventory sheets between each dealership. To better keep track of all sales at each dealership, they want to implement a system that would centralize all the data and make it accessible to each of their dealership locations. For that reason Byron Nelson CEO of NOMO, sent a request for proposal concerning Database Design. He is seeking a group to create a centrally located database system to ease communication and the spread of information between dealerships.
