Body Fat and Eating Disorders

Body composition is the comparison between muscle and fat that’s composed in a person’s body. A person can have a high weight, either due to muscles or a large structure or having excess body fat. When a person is overweight, this could be contributed to over eating and lack of exercise, having excess body weight can lead to a risk of severe or life threatening diseases, also can lead to a weak immune system which could attribute to other infections.

Excess weight poses a danger to women, especially if they are pregnant, this could cause complications and also poses a threat to the baby. Being overweight can harm a person over time, not being able to take care of themselves, depression and could possibly lead to an eating disorder.

There are many problems that lead to the worlds obesity epidemic, One of the biggest problems is not eating a healthy diet and not getting enough physical activity. People who eat unhealthy tend to become lazy and don’t get enough exercise. Many people lead active lifestyles and fast food and quick fix foods are easy access for them Lack of exercise can be blamed for today’s technology, cell phones, computers, video games, television and media networks. Too many people spend more time inside, then outside.

Eating disorders often happen when someone becomes disgusted or ashamed by the way they look, and they take every drastic measure they can to change their weight. There are three different categories of eating disorders. Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia and Binge Eating. Anorexia can cause several severe issues, osteoporosis, muscle weakness, organ failure, low blood pressure and dry hair and also yellow skin.

Bulimia can cause a person to have a sore throat, swollen glands and tooth decay, issues from laxative dependency and abuse, dehydration and risk for a heart attack, anyone who becomes Bulimic fears...
