Drill or Not to Drill

Since President Barack Obama started his presidential campaign and took office in 2009. He has pushed forward with his agenda to free all of America from our dependency on other countries for their oil. With the years to come and a growth in green jobs and as fast as technology is changing, with solar power, and the wind towers for electricity and clean coal are being pursued and expanded. We hear many people including opposing politicians believe that this is unnecessary and will be an expensive push. They have started that that we could just keep drilling off the Gulf Coast, Alaska, and other places within our own county are not being looked at. I will have to say that I completely agree with our President I think he is the better choice and he has our Nation’s best interest at heart. I do believe that this will be a very expensive change but I also believe that once it is accomplished that our economy will be in better shape. I think that most of our prices for gas and oil will be lower than we have seen in a very long time. Granted this is something that I may not see in my life time but hopefully my children will see it. I think it is time for a change. And for us to stop going overseas when we have right in our own backyard pretty much. I also think that us drilling on any land will soon stop because of our scientist that are trying to figure out ways for us to go green. I think that once all of us go green that will create more jobs and we will not have too many unemployed citizens. We will have less pollution may even not have any at all! Some of the key habits that hinder my thinking process and this is the main one for myself and that is the mine-is-better habit. And I also have a resistance to change. I will read or hear something that I have a very strong opinion on and I will normally say what I think and how I feel about a certain subject. Yes I will also hear the other person’s opinion on the same subject but in most case’s I will not listen to it....
