To Drill or Not To Drill

HUM/114

February 16, 2011

I feel that the country should decrease its dependence on oil and invest in alternative sources of energy. The questions that arise are: what if we drill and we cannot find anymore oil? What will Americans then do for energy? We will then have to result to natural energy in some form of fashion. There will be no other alternative when it comes to energy for our planet. I feel it’s better to start now then later. It is said that we will spend more money as a result of using natural energy, but when most of the money is used on equipment and the business has know profit you have to ask yourself, where’s the money in that. It’s like going camping; we have to use the environment to survive. When discussing an issue that has to deal with our country, the things you think of first are money. Everyone wants to know “how much is this going to cost me”? To overcome the habits that are hindering my thinking is to listen to both...
