Mid Term Case Study : Vayusa

Ajay Bam has the makings to be a great business man because he understands how important titles and previous accomplishments are when trying to break into a field. Ajay has acquired the degrees needed not only to learn in his field, but because people respect his degrees. He has also surrounded himself with seasoned veterans by filling the board of his company with recognizable names in both venture capitol and computer software and technology. He also added former CEOs such as Tom Huseby from Seapoint and Nick Eppersson from NYNEX as reputable advisors. He was able to get John Hession to mentor him in the legal portion of the business.

Ajay also has great networking skill. He is able to turn personal meetings and chance encounters into positive moves. He attended certain symposiums, using them to meet certain players and turned his time spent with the Huseby family to raise money for his business while adding Tom as an advisor. Networking is so important as an entrepreneur because when you meet people you can tap into their network and become connected with ten other people who may be needed for your business. Ajay was able to do this. He exhausted his contacts and met people who would not only help him along the way but lend their name to provide solidarity to his company’s image.

Ajay was very persistent in his pursuit of success. He never gave up and he worked relentlessly towards his goals. He faced tough times while trying to build a company that was, at the time, ground breaking in its field. He continued to push forward even when his partners bailed and settled for careers that were safer.

Bootstrapping is a more financially efficient way for start ups to gain financial assistance and catapulting upwards in their field.
