In today’s economy jobs are hard to find and so are workers. It seems like it should be the other way around. If everything worked out mathematically then there would be lots of workers looking for jobs. However, even with the economy down people don’t want to work where they are unappreciated. To show a person and employee or even an employer some appreciation is not that hard to do. It should also be done as often as possible, especially in times when the economy and people are down. Just a small bit of appreciation can actually go a long way and it just may be the difference that a person needs. In this report we are going to learn about appreciation in an employer to employee relationship. In the business world it is also called compensation. Compensation can come in many different forms. I will discuss some of those through this research report, and how different compensation programs can be good for both the business and employee.

Compensation programs are good for both the company and the employees because they reward the good behavior of people and that can lead to an increase in company morale, attendance, safety awareness and of course productivity for the company. All people like to be encouraged and compensated for a “job well done”. The only hard thing about the idea of a compensation program is choosing what is right for your company. Too many times we are quick to criticize our employees or peers but we should also praise them on the things they get done right and not always focus on the negative in one another.

The contents of this report are vital based on the fact that they highlight the importance of practicing proper employee compensation strategies.
